Idling harmful

Print Article

Dear drivers,

The average person idles for around 16 minutes per day, but it can be one of the most harmful things you can do for our planet. Young people like us are at the most risk because of our small and undeveloped lungs, but that doesnít mean everyone else is safe. Small particulate is everywhere in our atmosphere, and breathing it in can cause cancer and many other harmful diseases. Also, idling for two minutes is equivalent to driving a mile. If you didnít idle, it would not just be helping the environment, it would also earn you back your money! Saving money is your prize for helping our community be healthy.
