Idling cars only wastes gas, harmful to health

Print Article

Whitefish should not idle. Most people warm up their cars in the morning before going to work, or dropping their children off at school, but it is worse on the environment than you think. Just 10 seconds of idling causes just as much gas loss as starting your car again. Your children have coats. These chemicals are found at places like the Muldown Elementary and Christian Academy playgrounds, at the Whitefish Middle School area, and Whitefish High School. Dropping your kids off in these polluted areas are bad for kids lungs. It is basically letting them into a room full of second hand smoke. That is not healthy at all. I am 13 and I go to the Whitefish Middle School, and my friends and I stand outside in the unclean air. So please, try to not idle.
